Time to Pray
AT All Saints we believe it is important to come together as a church to recognise our dependence on God in prayer and to wait on him for direction. We have a number of occasions in the month to help us to do that.
Open to God meets at 7.45 for 8pm on the Wednesday evening after the first Sunday in each month. The evening begins with refreshments and then we usually spend 10-15 minutes in sung worship with the help of a musician. We normally divide the rest of our time into several sections – e.g. prayer for All Saints, which might be in small groups around a coffee table; prayer for the community, which might be in silence; and prayer for the wider church and the world, when we might stay together as one group.
We also have a fortnightly Prayer Breakfast on a Wednesday at 7.30am to pray especially for the Alpha and Beta courses; Pause for Prayer at 7.30am on the alternate Wednesday mornings; and a lunchtime prayer meeting fortnightly on Thursdays at 1.30pm.
