Time to Pray
AT All Saints we believe it is important to come together as a church to recognise our dependence on God in prayer and to wait on him for direction. We have a number of oportunities to help us to do that.
Open to God
Open to God meets at 7.45 for 8pm on the Wednesday evening after the first Sunday in each month. The evening begins with refreshments and then we usually spend 10-15 minutes in sung worship with the help of a musician. We normally divide the rest of our time into several sections – e.g. prayer for All Saints, which might be in small groups around a coffee table; prayer for the community, which might be in silence; and prayer for the wider church and the world, when we might stay together as one group.
Pause for Prayer
Every other Wednesday from 7.30 am to 8.00am in the Church Centre, alternating with the Alpha prayer meeting (caffeine provided!) to give an opportunity to meet together in spoken and silent prayer for the life and work of the church.
Alpha Prayer Breakfast
Alternate Wednesday mornings from 7.30am to 8.15am to pray for the guests and leaders of the Alpha Course run jointly by All Saints and Queen Street Christian Centre with links to Northgate Church.
Thursday Lunchtime Prayer
We meet fortnightly at 1pm for about 30 minutes with a particular focus on Dinkies, Minis, Messy Church and the children/young people in Sunday club, Pathfinders and Franks.
Prayer Ministry Team
As well as praying for different aspects in the Sunday services we also have a Prayer Ministry Team, generally two pairs of people, who meet at the front of church after the 10:45 service, and who are there to pray with anyone who might need prayer at that time.
Prayer Diary
To help direct us in our prayers, and ensure that the entire parish and church family receive regular prayer, we have a prayer diary which we update from time to time. If you would like to see a copy of the prayer diary please click here (you will be taken to our resource page where the prayer diary can be both read and downloaded).
