Care Group
CARING for one another is key to our life at All Saints Church and our volunteer Care Group is on hand to provide help and support to any of the church family who needs it.
Jesus came to serve and it is this belief that inspires and motivates Care Group members.
The group has been in existence for more than 14 years and the volunteer members, all worshippers at All Saints, aim to provide a ‘good neighbour’ service.
Our remit is to meet mainly practical needs, but we do also make visits to folk who are in need of some company. If people have a practical need to be met, they can contact the duty organiser on 07711 425 366, who will then find a volunteer to help.
Our ‘good neighbour’ services include:
-
Shopping for you or with you
-
Changing a library book
-
Collecting prescriptions
-
Providing transport to church or medical appointments
-
Cooking a meal
-
Light gardening
-
Arranging contact with other organisations
-
Dropping round for a coffee and a chat
The list is not exhaustive and the Group does not claim to be able to solve every problem. When we are faced with a need beyond our capabilities we can often point to other sources of help.
