Messy Church
It may be messy – but it’s still church!
3rd Sunday of each month, 4-6pm
Messy Church at All Saints began in October 2009 to fill a family-sized gap in our praise and worship – something that would grasp the imagination of families with children who wanted to be part of a church but couldn’t, for whatever reason, come on a Sunday morning.
Messy Church is about learning together as a family about God’s story by getting stuck in to crafts, activities, celebration and ending with a cooked meal for everyone. Our Messy Church is part of a world-wide movement of similar Messy Churches.
So, Messy Church is designed for:
-
Families who don’t normally come to church
-
Families with school aged children (accompanying pre-schoolers are also welcome)
-
Families with busy lives – hence the day and time.
There’s no charge for Messy Church although we always appreciate a small donation towards running costs, if you are able.
Messy Church is run by a team led by Helen Ellis who can be contacted via the church office.
Helen is also the Messy Church Regional Co-ordinator for Cheshire and Wirral, and if you would like to find out more about this work, please click here
