B-it Theatre Company

At the B-it Theatre Company we believe that everyone should have access to drama, which is why we have set up a number of groups, all of which offer a safe, secure and fun environment in which to grow as people and as performers.

We do not believe that money should ever stop someone from being able to be part of what drama and theatre has to offer, so we run a ‘no questions asked’ policy which means you pay what you can and, if it's nothing, that’s fine!

The Adult theatre group (18+)

Wednesday: 7.30-8.30 pm

The adult group is open to all abilities and a place where we focus on having a laugh and enjoying everything drama has to offer.

We aim to create an informal atmosphere that allows us to create really professional productions without losing our sanity! Every session is an hour long and is followed by at least half an hour of drinking tea or visiting the pub.

Just 4 Fun (Ages 8-18 - School years 3-13)

Thursday: 4-5 pm

‘Just 4 Fun’ is an amazing workshop if you’re looking to get involved with drama for the first time, or wanting to find a safe, fun and friendly environment to build your confidence while learning some theatre skills in a pressure-free zone.

It’s been a great starting place for many students in the theatre company who are now in performance groups.

This group never works towards performances, so it is a great place to grow and learn about how great you are and how much you have to offer.

The Youth Theatre (Ages 14-18 – school years 10-13)

Thursday 5-6pm

The Youth Theatre works towards one performance over the first two terms (September to April) and then we do LAMDA devising exams in the summer.

We aim to create a relaxed and friendly atmosphere that encourages everyone to really go for it with everything they do. We want the shows we do to look professional and be entertaining but never at the cost of personal enjoyment.

No theatre experience is necessary to join the group, all are welcome! Please note that we can only take new students for the Youth Theatre in September and May.

The Drama Bits (Ages 8-11- school years 3-6)

Saturdays: 9.30-10.30am
This is our youngest performance group and we always work towards at least one production a year. Usually we will do a short Christmas production and a longer summer production.

Like all the other B-it groups, our primary aim is to have fun and build confidence. The atmosphere of the workshop is very informal and we laugh a lot.

All abilities are welcome and it would be a pleasure to have you.

The B-it Junior Company (Ages 11-14- school years 7-9)

Saturdays 10.30-11.30am

The group runs on exactly the same principles as the Drama Bits group. We aim to perform once or twice a year at Christmas and in the summer, but never at the cost of having fun and building confidence.

This group creates great work and have written and performed some of their own work in the past. We want this group be a place to develop theatre skills and grow as people. All abilities are welcome.
